Transair compressed air piping was the first technological advancement in compressed air, vacuum & inert gas piping when it was first introduced in the early 1990’s. Transair's patented, push-connect and quick-connect, reusable fittings, combined with extruded aluminum tubing, provide unmatched versatility and ease of installation and modification. Total cost of installation is usually less than conventional steel piping thanks to significant labor savings. Plus, air delivery is cleaner and more efficient, corrosion is eliminated, and leakage is negligible (allowing some of our customers to downsize or shut down compressors). Available pipe sizes now range from ½" to 6" diameter.

Compressors & Dryers
Baker Group is the Iowa Distributor for FS Curtis and Boge air compressors, dryers and air treatment equipment as well as Powerex medical grade compressors and vacuum pumps. FS Curtis is a U.S. based manufacturer, headquartered in St. Louis and offers both reciprocating and rotary screw air compressors. BOGE compressors are German engineered and manufactured, and have global presence with compressed air users in more than 80 countries around the world. With these leading manufacturers, Baker Group offers a full range of compressors from 3 to 350 Hp as well as comprehensive air treatment equipment.
Accessory equipment available from Baker Group for compressed air systems includes the following.

Leak Detection Equipment
Baker Group offers the NASA-approved CTRL Systems Ultrasound detection equipment. These devices can be used to detect air leaks at distances up to 300 ft. and in close enough to determine which side of a joint is leaking. In addition, the CTRL equipment is proficient in detection of faulty bearings, steam traps, solenoids and valves (contact mode), and faulty electrical connections to name a few applications. For compressed air leak detection, the Air Audit Kit is recommended. Air leaks are more expensive than most system owners realize. According to Compressed Air Challenge, each HP that is developed at a point of use (with a pneumatic tool for example), requires eight HP back at the compressor to generate. The efficiency loss is 8 to 1, even in a well-designed, efficient system.
Compressed air is expensive. The last thing you want to let it do is leak. That is where the CTRL equipment pays for itself typically in the first few weeks of use.
