Why did you pick Baker Group?
Since I was a kid, I have always admired the way Baker Group treats employees and how they always strive for the best they can do!

What are you looking forward to most about your internship?
I am looking forward to growing relationships with people who have the same end goal and share the same interests. And I’m just grateful to have such a great opportunity to grow!

What do you hope to get out of your summer internship with Baker Group?
Growing my ability to use Revit and my knowledge of detailing and design.

What are your future plans/goals?
My future plans and goals are to finish getting my AAS degree at DMACC and then the goal is to get a job as either a detailer or an engineer in either electrical, mechanical or plumbing.

Tell us about your family …
I come from a from a family of four as the oldest child. I have an awesome younger sister Carly, who is in seventh grade. I have two hard working parents, Danelle and Tron, who have done a great job of raising me to be the person I am today. I thank my parents for all the opportunities they have provided for our family

What do you like to do outside of school/work?
I love to go golfing with family and friends. I love just being outdoors and being active.

What have you done for fun lately?
Recently I’ve been playing a lot of golf and hanging with friends and family.

Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled to? Why?
By far Aruba. It’s called One Happy Island for a reason. The beautiful clear blue water, the beautiful beaches — you can’t find anything better.

How would your friends describe you?
Great teammate, great brother, hardworking, passionate, talented, persistent and caring.

Madissen Lawrence

Why did you pick Baker Group?
I chose to intern at Baker Group because I want to learn more about construction and what it is like to work as an electrical engineer in the construction industry.

What are you looking forward to most about your internship?
I am excited to learn more about electrical systems and construction. I am also looking forward to all the fun events that are happening at Baker Group.

What do you hope to get out of your summer internship with Baker Group?
I hope to learn more about construction, electrical systems and learn more about Baker Group.

What are your future plans/goals?
I want to graduate and become an engineer and then spend all my free time outdoors.

Tell us about your family …
I have a twin sister and younger brother.

What do you like to do outside of school/work?
I like to do stuff outdoors like hiking, skiing, hammocking, etc. I also play video games and read a lot.

What have you done for fun lately?
The last time I did anything fun was over spring break. I went skiing in Bozeman, Montana. I also went hiking at the falls near my house, which was really fun since the falls were partially frozen and looked really cool.

Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled to? Why?
Western Montana, because I love the mountains and being outdoors. Also, there is so much to do out there, but I mainly hike, ski and enjoy the good food.

How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as funny and motivated.

Soren Peterson

What are you looking forward to most about your internship?
I am looking forward to learning more about what it means to be an engineer and work with new people.

I hope to gain new insight and decide my future career path.

What are your future plans/goals?
I would like to get PE license after I graduate from college.

I am an only child and have 2 dogs at home.

What do you like to do outside of school/work?
I enjoy working on my car.

What have you done for fun lately?
I love to take advantage of nice days and get out to play golf.

Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled to? Why?
I like going to Colorado to go ski because of the amazing views and soft snow.
