Baker Group provided custom HVAC and security designs for this 10,000 square foot data center. Built around a highly redundant private network infrastructure, the state-of-the-art facility offers unique cutting edge systems to ensure the safety of the data center equipment.

Designed to ensure continued operations even under the most extreme circumstances, this data center is served by 360 tons of cooling and packaged HVAC units. Baker Group specifically designed the data center cooling to accommodate the increasing power and cooling demands of next generation computing and storage environments. Designed for 100 watts per square foot, the computer room cooling system offers 25-50 watts per square foot more than traditional data centers. Allowing for easy management of computer data systems, the computer room cooling units are integrated with the building security system. With N+1 redundancy as part of the design for data center cooling, the modular design incorporates six 30-ton Liebert cooling units in each of the two data rooms. Up-flow Liebert AC units with overhead hot/cold aisle ductwork distribute cool air to where it is needed most.

Security was a top priority for Client A in the initial design. By utilizing state of the art security products from Baker Group, four levels of security access were provided including card access, Biometric’s, Mantrap and Tailgate features. In addition, an extensive CCTV system monitors movement in the facility to help protect the infrastructure and data center equipment.
