Located just west of Des Moines in Urbandale on 46 acres near Walnut Creek, there is a beautiful retirement community called Deerfield. This facility offers over 200 spacious apartment homes and ranch-style townhomes of many styles and floor plans. Here residents can choose many paths to personal enjoyment from workouts in the fitness center, craft classes, gardening, restaurant-style dining, and live entertainment.

Baker Group installed the complete HVAC, plumbing, and controls systems for this facility. The heating and cooling system for the all the residential units was accomplished by installing over 250 heat pumps that are connected to a condenser water loop that is supported by a central mechanical room. Located in mechanical room are the boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, cooling towers, and water heaters that are all coordinated by our web based DDC control system.
