The mechanical system includes one central VAV AHU which serves all areas of the facility except for the kitchen and dining areas.  This is served by a VAV AHU to exclusively serve this area to control food aromas.  Heating is provided through hot water provided from a new central plant with high efficiency boilers which serve the new Student Education Center along with the Student Education Building and the parking ramp support area. Cooling is provided through two air cooled chillers. The chilled water system is controlled by variable frequency drives for energy conservation.
