Des Moines-based Baker Group, a full-service specialty contractor, announced today, the purchase of Quint-Co, Inc., a provider of building automation systems and services. Quint-Co, Inc., is based in Eastern Iowa with offices in Iowa City and the Quad Cities.

With the acquisition, Quint-Co joins Baker Group’s controls business unit, the group responsible for providing leading-edge integration of complete building systems solutions that extends into commercial building automation, industrial process automation, energy management, property protection and life safety systems.

Spindel will lead the Quad Cities office for Baker Group, along with the entire Quint-Co staff that will make the transition together to Baker Group.
