PDM Precast, Inc. to Extend the East Village vibe south! Owned by PDM Precast and partners, a new three-story building and adjoining parking ramp is being constructed just south of Des Moines’ East Village. Baker Group is providing turnkey design-build of the facility’s mechanical-electrical-plumbing infrastructure, equipping it for a new slate of retail, restaurants and business tenants. 

“In addition to accommodating its own needs for additional office space, PDM Precast wants this to be a destination for people to work and play,” says Brandon Hummel, Baker Group Project Manager. “It will extend the East Village tempo by accommodating a broad range of tenants, and will include an attached, above-grade parking ramp,” he says.

Des Moines Othopaedic Surgeons is expanding into Ankeny with a freestanding 16,844-sq.ft. clinic. Thanks to a long and successful working relationship, Baker Group has been selected to provide HVAC, plumbing, building automation, and security and fire alarm systems. Des Moines Christian School is fast-tracking construction of its new Center for Excellence in Urbandale. With foundations being laid in August, the 45,000-sq.ft. facility will be ready when school begins next year. Baker Group is providing design-build of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
