Automation & Modular Fabrication for Applied Digital's Data Center

Applied Digital’s new 425,000 square foot high-performance data center is designed and built to support the growing demands of the AI-driven market. Baker Group was selected to provide advanced automation and monitoring systems to the new data center. This includes: 

• A SCADA PLC Building Management System to control large-scale mechanical operations  

• An Electrical Power Monitoring System to ensure efficiency and reliability across the facility.  

The project also showcased Baker Group’s growing capabilities in advanced multi-trade prefabrication. The automation and industrial team collaborated on pump skid and modular control panel assemblies built in-house. This prefabrication approach improved efficiency, coordination, and quality across trades. 

Despite various challenges like aggressive timelines, evolving design requirements, and a remote project location, Baker Group is using its expertise and hands-on involvement to deliver a scalable, and energy-efficient mission-critical facility that will position Applied Digital as a leader in the high-performance computing industry.
