ChildServe Center

This facility is a combination office, therapy center and respite care center for children with special health care needs. This 40,000 square foot facility in Johnston was built to consolidate their many locations into one central location.

Baker Group was responsible for the installation of piping, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, temperature controls and security systems for the new facility. The building’s different uses required a flexible design without compromising occupant comfort. HVAC system consists of two VAV rooftop units with multiple VAV fan powered boxes with electric reheat. Ductwork was carefully coordinated with the architect due to several areas of ceiling clouds and areas of no ceilings.
