Iowa State University chose Baker Group for its Security Systems Contractor in 1998. To date, Baker Group has secured virtually all doors campus-wide and provided limited video surveillance solutions. 

The scope of this project is found upon an enterprise-class Hirsch Velocity Card Access System. Due to the nature of our relationship with ISU, as the Security Contractor, we are limited to information that we are able to share in RFPs and bid responses. What we can share are those types of things that can be noted by a casual observer. Such features 
as; The system operates over Iowa State University's Ethernet backbone and handles card access functions along with the following specialized features: 

• Dual technology card readers (keypad and proximity card)
• Numerous ADA Compliant automatic operator door interfaces 
• Wireless integrated access control solutions
• Intrusion detection and integration to portable wireless duress alarms
• Skidata parking gate control and Elevator control
• Electromechanical equipment integration

Technicians for this project are Hirsch factory trained and certified. Baker Group utilizes two (2) in house, MCSE and IT support engineers to ensure quality installation and integration between systems.
