Mercy Medical Center Surgery Renovation

To meet the growing health care needs of Central Iowans, Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines renovated their surgery facility with remodeled Surgery Rooms, PACU and CS/ICU areas. 

Baker Group was asked to provide Plan and Spec. capabilities with VA assistance from several of our business groups including Mechanical, Sheet Metal and Controls. Each contributed extensively to this project, providing HVAC systems, fan powered VAV boxes with hot water reheat, medical gas systems, four new air handling units, two chillers, steam, chilled water, plumbing, fire protection, controls, test and balance, and sheet metal HVAC. This 39,000 square foot project is a state-of-the-art facility. Phased to minimize disruption and shutdown of services to the remainder of the facility.
